In Between

This piece reflects the duality of perspective, the paradox of distance and closeness. By placing two perspectives together, I create a sense of ambiguity that challenges the viewer’s sense of orientation in counter to the landscape. This duality stimulates a feeling of being caught between two places. The juxtaposition of the view through the airplane's window frame and the view from above shows the feeling of being neither here nor there. This representation challenges conventional ideas of belonging, especially in the face of relocation. Sometimes, I zoom in on a single moment that freezes in my memory, and sometimes, I step back to see the entire surroundings. At this moment, I am both connected to and distanced from the landscape I admire, caught between perspectives in a space where familiarity starts to blur and the once intimate land becomes remote and abstract.
